Tata Motors has just made a high-voltage move to dominate the premium electric SUV space. On March 21, 2026, the carmaker officially expanded its flagship EV lineup by introducing a more accessible all-wheel-drive (AWD) option. The new Harrier EV Fearless+ QWD 75 variant is priced at ₹26.49 lakh (ex-showroom), effectively slashing the entry price for Tata’s dual-motor technology by a substantial ₹2.5 lakh.
Until now, the high-performance Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) system was exclusive to the top-tier ‘Empowered’ trim. By bringing this capability to the ‘Fearless+’ persona, Tata is targeting enthusiasts who prioritize “go-anywhere” performance over ultra-luxury bells and whistles.
Performance: The “Quad Wheel Drive” Edge
The Fearless+ QWD 75 doesn’t compromise on the mechanical muscle that defines the Harrier EV. Built on the advanced acti.ev+ architecture, it features a dual-motor setup that delivers a combined output of 313 hp and 504 Nm of torque.
- Blistering Acceleration: In its signature “Boost Mode,” this electric SUV can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds.
- Terrain Mastery: The AWD system is paired with six terrain response modes (including Sand, Mud, and Rock-Crawl) and a dedicated Off-Road Assist feature, making it the most capable electric SUV in its price bracket.
Range and Charging: Built for the Long Haul
Equipped with the larger 75 kWh LFP battery pack, the Fearless+ QWD variant offers a claimed MIDC range of 622 km on a single charge. For real-world usage, Tata estimates a reliable range of 460–490 km, which is more than enough for intercity trips like Mumbai to Goa or Delhi to Chandigarh.
- Fast Charging: Using a 120 kW DC fast charger, the Harrier EV can juice up from 20% to 80% in just 25 minutes.
- V2L & V2V: It also retains the futuristic Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) capabilities, allowing the car to act as a giant power bank for camping gear or even to charge another EV in an emergency.
What’s Inside the Fearless+ QWD?
While it sits below the Empowered trim, the Fearless+ is far from “basic.” It retains the premium 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10-speaker JBL audio system, and ventilated front seats. However, to achieve the lower price point, it skips a few high-end features like the Level 2 ADAS suite, the 14.5-inch Samsung QLED screen, and the auto-park assist found in the top model.
The “Seaweed Green” Update
Coinciding with this launch, Tata has introduced a striking new Seaweed Green exterior color. This fresh shade is now available across all personas, giving the Harrier EV a more rugged, nature-inspired aesthetic that complements its off-road credentials.
Verdict
The launch of the Fearless+ QWD is a strategic masterstroke. With over 13,000 Harrier EVs delivered in just six months, Tata is doubling down on accessibility. For buyers who want 504 Nm of torque and AWD capability under ₹27 lakh, the Harrier EV currently stands in a league of its own.
