Following its global preview earlier this year, the mid-life refresh brings a substantially altered exterior aesthetic, a complete overhaul of the dashboard electronics, and a major mechanical milestone: the first-ever integration of a mainstream plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain variant in the Indian S-Class portfolio.

Local Assembly and Advanced Safety
To keep pricing competitive and counteract steep import duties, Mercedes-Benz is actively evaluating local assembly for the plug-in hybrid variants at its state-of-the-art Chakan manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra.
